Facilitation (Retreats & Meetings)

For more than a decade, I’ve facilitated retreats and key meetings for leadership teams as they explore and prepare for what’s next. Today’s turbulent times require that teams build strong connections to support their work together, as well as have a shared vision for what they most want to create in the future (and how to keep adapting as the environment changes).

Following are examples of the types of tailored facilitation I provide using creative tools, processes, and meeting structures:

  • Future Visioning: While long-range planning has changed, the need for a compelling vision tied to your organization’s values and strengths hasn’t. To move effectively through uncertainty, your team needs a clear vision of what you’re all working towards and why. Depending on time available, we can also identify key goals and pathways for working towards that future, as well as processes for assessing when you need to change course.

  • Organization/Team Culture Design & Alignment: Your team’s ability to work effectively toward your goals depends on how well you work together. Your organization/team culture is “the way things are done,” and it will either support you or stand in your way of moving forward. Together we’ll assess your current culture and how to evolve it to support your future vision and goals.

  • Scenario Planning for the Future: Having a shared vision is only one part of navigating constant change. Your team also needs to be prepared for the unexpected. Through a scenario planning process, we’ll explore possible futures that may impact your work, and how you’d adapt to each situation. You’re not trying to predict the future (since we can’t), but this process will build your capacity to pivot when you encounter the inevitable twists and turns ahead.

“Jen is a master facilitator – leading folks into tough discussions in a way that makes people feel safe and able to go deep. Her change framework clearly resonated with the group and provided a great structure for the kind of discussion we really needed.”

Loel Solomon | Vice President, Kaiser Permanente
